Yidi Ding Won the Championship in the 8th GOCAA Piano Compitation in 2021

The final results of the 8th Global Outstanding Chinese Artists Association(GOCAA) in 2021 were finally announced last week. Yidi Ding took the first place in both Group A of Children’s category and in all categories of piano under the age of 18 with the highest score (Champion), awarded the title of "Contracted Young Performers”, and obtained the concert tour in USA/China/Canada organized by the organizer as well as CD release opportunities by European KNS record company and Chinese record company.

Yidi Ding was born in Shanghai, China in August 2011. At the age of 6, he gave a solo piano concert at Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and was invited to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall and the Golden Hall in Vienna. Yidi Ding was admitted to the pre-collage of the Juilliard school in March 2018 and became the youngest student. Currently, he is studying piano, composition and conducting. With his excellent performance in this competition, Yidi Ding was highly recognized by all the judges. In recent years, Yidi Ding has won many awards and won the first prize in many piano competitions in China, the United States and Europe.

Ignat Solzhenitsyn, a renowned pianist and conductor who teaches at the Curtis Institute of Music in the United States, acts as the chairman of the jury. The jury is composed of Mika Sasaki (the Juilliard School), Andreas Stier (Hamburg National Academy of Music), Matthew Linaman (New England Conservatory of Music ), And Pan Fangfang (Founder of the Global Outstanding Chinese Artists Association).
